Designed for new and veteran SmartLab™ Facilitators, the Advanced Facilitator Development Conference prepares STEM K-12 educators to support and facilitate student learning and skills development for career and college readiness. AFDC participants gain experience and knowledge of instructional strategies and the principles of project-based learning, develop expertise with a variety of advanced technologies, participate in authentic STEM practices, and learn to integrate cross-cutting concepts and content. Knex is an exciting hands-on Engagement for kids. Students can start with basic hand-eye coordination skills and continue to building and testing sophisticated projects. Comprehension and interepretation skills are developed using the 2-D ‘Construction Manuals’ to build 3-D models. All of it fun for kids… Take lots of photos and videos. Documentation and analysis of their work is almost as much fun as the construction itself.
